How to report an error
Use the form on this page. Include the page address, what is wrong, and — if you can — a link to an official source that shows the correct information. Every guide also has a “Report an error on this page” button that fills in the address for you.
You don’t need to give your name or email address. Add an email only if you would like to hear the outcome.
How we review reports
- Logged: your report is delivered to the editorial team. If the form says it was delivered, it was received.
- Checked: an editor compares the guide with the official or authoritative source. We aim to complete this within 5 business days.
- Fixed: if the guide is wrong or out of date, we correct it and change its “updated” date. For a change that could affect what a reader does — such as a document requirement or a deadline — we add a short correction note at the end of the guide describing what changed.
- Answered: if you gave an email address, we tell you what we decided and why.
If we don’t agree that something is an error, we will explain why when we have a way to reach you. If you are unhappy with how a report was handled, you can make a complaint.
What we can’t help with
We can’t fix problems with an appointment itself, such as a booking that was lost or a requirement at a specific office. Contact the organization that holds your appointment.
